History

ALTEK’s founder and CEO, Anne Lipman opened ALTEK Information Technology in late 2004. Anne Lipman had spent decades in business capture management with experience in the development of Fortune 500 client relationships in support of Information Technology Staffing and Project Support. Her success in building multi-million dollar client relationships culminated in the launch of her own business-ALTEK IT.

From that moment to present ALTEK has grown to include contracts in both the commercial and government marketplace. ALTEK has built its reputation on quality, consistency and dependable results for its information technology clients. Our management structure is designed to keep margins tight, passing on cost savings to our clients, while keeping the end product deliverable on spec and under budget.

ALTEK began its business by building and strong core staff, each member brought additional experience in the Information Technology sector, which integrated and produced a company that is fast paced, flexible and able to compete with billion dollar firms that saturate the marketplace today.

(EDWOSB). ALTEK is also a member of the Woman’s Business Enterprise national council, WBENC. , and is recognized as a diversity leader in the staffing industry by Staffing Industry analyst (SIA). Today ALTEK has a niche in Health Information Technology , (HIT), in both the government and commercial sectors. We are a Master contractor in Maryland under the CATS II contract vehicle. We work in support of efforts at Health and Human Services, Federal Employee Program, (FEP), Health Information Exchange, (HIE), and Electronic Medical Records, (EMR), for state and national initiatives.

ALTEK’s Headquarters is strategically located in Historic Downtown Frederick, Md. to service locations such as Baltimore, Washington, DC. Northern Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania. The Chicago satellite office opens spring 2012.  As ALTEK continues to grow, our principles of quality, dedication to our clients and the diligence to produce the highest level of service remains engrained in the ALTEK culture.
